7 Days Murchison Falls, Kibale and Bwindi Tour

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Tourists begin the adventure with a scenic drive north toward Murchison Falls National Park. The journey passes through rural towns, forests and expansive savannahs, creating beautiful views along the way. Upon reaching the park, tourists visit the top of the falls where the Nile squeezes through a narrow rock gap, creating an impressive natural spectacle. Day 2: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Safari

After an early breakfast, tourists set off for a morning game drive on the northern plains. The open savannah provides ideal opportunities for photography and wildlife viewing. After lunch at the lodge, the adventure continues with a luxury boat safari along the Nile. Hippos, crocodiles and abundant birdlife line the riverbanks as the boat slowly approaches the base of the powerful Murchison Falls.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Following a relaxing breakfast, tourists begin a scenic transfer toward Kibale Forest, an area known for its lush vegetation, crater lakes and high density of primates. The route passes through tea plantations, rolling hills and rural communities that offer a glimpse of local life. Lunch is enjoyed en route before continuing to the lodge located near the forest. The remainder of the day is free for rest, nature walks around the property or enjoying lodge amenities such as the pool or spa.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary Visit

Today begins with an exciting chimpanzee tracking adventure in Kibale Forest. After a briefing by wildlife rangers, tourists walk through the forest canopy in search of the lively chimp communities. Once found, tourists spend an hour observing their feeding habits, grooming routines and playful interactions. After lunch, the journey continues with a guided walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community managed conservation area known for monkeys, rare birds and scenic vegetation. The walk brings a peaceful contrast to the morning adventure.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After breakfast, tourists travel toward Bwindi, home of the endangered mountain gorillas. The drive is filled with beautiful landscapes including volcanic hills, cultivated terraces and panoramic highland views. Lunch is provided en route before descending into the mist covered valleys of Bwindi. Upon arrival, tourists are welcomed with refreshing drinks and shown to their luxury forest cottages. The evening offers time to relax and prepare for the next day’s gorilla trekking experience.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking Experience

This is the highlight of the entire tour as tourists embark on an unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure. After a briefing from the park rangers, the trek begins through the dense forest in search of a specific gorilla family. The walk can vary in duration depending on the movements of the gorillas, but the reward is extraordinary. Once the gorillas are located, tourists spend one precious hour observing their behavior, watching young gorillas play and capturing cherished photographs. After returning to the lodge, the afternoon is free for rest or a gentle community walk.

Day 7: Departure

After a relaxed breakfast, tourists check out of the lodge and begin the return journey to Entebbe by road or with an optional domestic flight for added comfort. Upon arrival in Entebbe, tourists are transferred to the airport for international departure, marking the end of an enriching and luxurious seven day safari experience.
